I.S. Manager

The Position:
Geomagic is currently embarking on a substantial business process re-engineering that has significant reliance on IS systems, and will also look to the MIS Manager to lead and support change management efforts. In addition manage systems/business analysts, programmers and related service providers. This entails a proven ability to comprehend and evaluate technology trends and constraints, project management skills, cost control experience, as well as training and recruitment of specialist staff.
- Support business needs with deployment and maintenance of databases
- Plan, develop, and implement the IS roadmap
- Align and execute strategies that match those of the organization
- Ensure IS group meets the needs of individuals and projects
- Research and manage installation of new systems. Direct procurement efforts for IS infrastructure, including obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers where appropriate
- Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
- Recruit, mentor and manage IS staff
- Investigate and pin down enterprise IS needs
- Create, update, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, uptime and accuracy of mission critical data
- Bachelors or Masters degree with major course work in computer information systems, computer science or related area of study
- Minimum of 6 years of Information Systems and or project and people management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and demonstrated skills in delivering projects across cross-functional disciplines within the organization
- A solid track record of supporting internal and external customers in mission critical functions
- Solid team player with a can do attitude and a record of excelling in fast paced and high growth companies
