Product Manager/Product Designer, 3D Modeling
Location: RTP, NC

The Position:
Product Manager/ Product Designer must share strong enthusiasm and solid skills in leading and guiding products, and researching and mastering target markets. The person in this role must also have a good business sense and understanding of customer needs. This role will work closely with business development managers, sales, clients, and software product development teams to understand marketing requirements and produce detailed feature and functional requirements specifications.

The person in this role must also have exceptional communication skills facing customers, with project managers and with software developers and testers. Must be detail oriented, have strong leadership skills, and solid product management skills to guide product development teams through a full software product lifecycle.

Requirements:
  • Must have understanding of the mechanical manufacturing process (aerospace or automotive)
  • In-depth knowledge of MCAD and 3D modeling.
  • At least 5 years professional experience in software product management, business analysis and product design.
  • Must have solid experience with documenting detailed feature and functional requirements and own these documents throughout the product lifecycle. Feature and functional requirements must include enough details for software development and testing groups to successfully prepare technical specifications and test cases.
  • Familiar with CAD software and other 3D modeling software.
  • Familiar with software development process from conception to commercialization.
  • Able to work in a cross functional team and across organizational lines.
  • Able to work with remote sites, teams and cultures in other countries to achieve milestones.
  • Ability to drive process, align resources, manage, measure and track results.
  • Self-starter and able to work and achieve results with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to “do-what-it-takes” to get the job done and not confine yourself to a job description.
  • Ability to produce regular status reports and conduct meetings to ensure team members are aware of their role and interdependencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus.
