Geomagic Ranks 12th in N.C. Fast 50
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, September 17, 2003 - Geomagic placed twelfth in the 2003 ranking of the North Carolina Fast 50 by Deloitte & Touche.
The Fast 50 awards honor the state’s fastest-growing technology companies based on revenues from 1998 though 2002. The winners were honored at a September 17 luncheon in Raleigh, N.C.
Founded in 1996, Geomagic creates products that enable designers and engineers to capture scan data from physical parts and create highly accurate digital models. The company’s products provide the software power for applications such as mass customization, reverse engineering and computer-aided inspection. Over the last five years, Geomagic’s revenues have grown by 935 percent.
“We’ve prospered during one of the worst economic periods in this country’s history,” says Willis Lumpkin, Geomagic’s vice president and CFO. “We attribute our growth to a unique combination of innovative products, loyal customers, sound fiscal management, and most of all, incredible employees.”
Geomagic’s software is used by manufacturers worldwide – including Toyota, Harley-Davidson, Fisher-Price, Align and hundreds of others – for customizing products, automating processes, and increasing throughput.
