Geomagic places 6th in N.C. Fast 50
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., August 27, 2004 -Geomagic placed 6th in the 2004 ranking of the North Carolina Fast 50 by Deloitte & Touche.
This year’s Fast 50 awards honor the state’s fastest-growing technology companies based on revenues from 1999 though 2003. Last year, Geomagic placed 12th on the list.
Founded in 1996, Geomagic creates products that enable designers and engineers to capture scan data from physical parts and create highly accurate digital models. The company’s products provide the software power for applications such as mass customization, digital reconstruction of physical parts, and computer-aided inspection. Over the last five years, Geomagic’s revenues have grown by 1,366 percent.
“We owe this to our incredible employees and forward-thinking customers who have embraced our technology to design, engineer and manufacture better products faster than ever before,” says Ping Fu, Geomagic’s president and CEO.
Geomagic’s software is used by manufacturers worldwide – including Toyota, Harley-Davidson, Fisher-Price, Align and hundreds of others – for customizing products, automating processes, and increasing throughput.
