Ping Fu of Geomagic selected to speak at international conference on mass customization
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., September 12, 2005 Ping Fu, president and CEO of Geomagic, has been selected to speak at MCPC 2005, the 3rd Interdisciplinary World Congress on Mass Customization and Personalization. The event will be held September 18-21 at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
MCPC 2005 brings together scholarly research and advances in business practices in the field of mass customization and personalization (MCP), which aims to provide goods and services that fulfill individual customers' needs with near-mass production efficiency. Fu's presentation will draw on Geomagic's experience in applying digital shape sampling and processing (DSSP) for mass customization of custom-designed orthodontics, digital dentistry, hearing instruments, artificial knee joints, and other medical devices.
