First AI-driven software solution for a self-driving factory launched, focused on the future of manufacturing

Oqton acquires Belgian company Thrinno for AM file prep

2018

Game-Changing Acquisition

Series A funding round raises $40M from Fortino Capital, Sandvik, and PMV

Oqton acquired by 3D Systems for $180 million and established as an independent software subsidiary

2022

Oqton's Expansion

3D Systems software products transferred to Oqton, including 3DXpert, Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Control X, Geomagic Wrap, Geomagic4SW, Freeform, Amphyon and D2P

Rapid growth to over 300 employees worldwide with new offices established in Germany, France, Japan, Korea and India

Diversifying into the energy industry

Oqton entered the energy sector in partnership with Baker Hughes

Industrial Additive OEM partnership established with Trumpf, Xact Metal, Farsoon, Castor, and Twikit

Robotic welding solution divested to ArcNC. Oqton focuses on additive manufacturing, 3D scanning, and dental production

Geomagic solutions move to quarterly releases available on subscription

Oqton Manufacturing OS reaches a milestone of automating the production of more than 3 million dental parts.
